Sermon - August 7, 2016 - Following Jesus The Light of the World

The sermon for August 7, 2016. The sermon this week is comprised of five separate lessons based on the themes of our Vacation Bible School program, "Cave Quest: Following Jesus, the Light of the World!". Day 1: "Jesus Gives Us Hope". Psalm 71:5 Day 2: "Jesus Gives Us Courage". Matthew 14:27 Day 3: "Jesus Gives Us Direction". Proverbs 3:5,6 Day 4: "Jesus Gives Us Love". 1 John 3:16a Day 5: "Jesus Gives Us His Power". 2 Corinthians 4:7 Today's Focus: This past week we geared up for an over-the-top underground adventure at Vacation Bible School! Our program, "Cave Quest: Following Jesus, the Light of the World!" centered us on the rock solid truths of God's Word. This morning in worship, we will review the themes of the week in order to strengthen our faith in the power and promises of our loving God. Come and worship Him!
