Service - October 28, 2018 - Reformation Sunday

The sermon for Sunday, October 28, 2018, is a series of sermonettes based on Romans 3, Romans 1, John 14, Philippians 3 and Revelations 21.

 

Today's Focus: Today, as every Sunday, we worship God.  We do not worship Martin Luther.  However, on this day we pause to give special thanks to God for using Martin Luther to proclaim the message of the Bible during spiritually dark times: that we are saved by God's grace alone, this is ours through faith alone, and we can be certain of it in the Bible alone.  To further illustrate the good news of God's love, Martin Luther designed a family seal.  In this service we will look at the symbolism and Scriptural references behind the seal, and celebrate the full and free love of our God.  Come, let us worship the Lord!
