Through his Word and sacraments, Jesus gives the same proof to all people od all time. "Peace be with you," is our Lord's message to us today. He is risen! He is reisen indeed!

Sermon - April 1, 2018 - Easter Sunday
Sunday Apr 01, 2018
Sunday Apr 01, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, April 1, 2018, is based on 1 Corinthians 15:19-26
Today's Focus: Easter Sunday. O how dark things looked for Jesus and His followers on Good Friday, as Jesus hung on the cross and died. How dark must have been the mood of the disciples all through Saturday. But then came Sunday and everything changed. Everything! For Jesus rose! Now the darkness of gloom and despair was replaced with the "light" of victory and joy! As Easter changed everything for them, so it changes everything for us. Jesus has risen to free us from the clutches of sin, death and the devil-a freedom that will never be taken away. Christ is risen! He is reisen indeed!

Sermon - March 25, 2018 - Palm Sunday
Sunday Mar 25, 2018
Sunday Mar 25, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, March 25, 2018, is based on Mark 11:1-10
Today's Focus: Palm Sunday. From his birth to his death, Jesus demonstrates remarkable humility. He is King of kings. And yet when born into our world, he did not have a golden crib, but only a manger. When he rides into the royal city of Jerusalem as a king, it is not on a stallion, but a little donkey foal. And when he, as Lord of Lord, mounts his position of authority, it is not on a throne, but a cross. Why would one so great be so unspeakably humble? And what is there for us to learn in his humility? Come and listen to His Word today!

Sermon - March 18, 2018 - Jesus Our Great High Priest Makes Us Priests
Sunday Mar 18, 2018
Sunday Mar 18, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, March 18, 2018, is based on Hebrews 10:19-25
Today's Focus: Jesus Our Great High Priest Makes Us Priests. Through the blood of Jesus, we are forgiven and cleansed. We can approach the throne of God in prayer with confidence that we will be heard. And now, forgiven and called by Christ, we can go out into the world and share his message with others as well as encourage one another with his Word. In this sense, we are all called to be priests of our Great High Priest. Pray, praise and worship Him!

Sunday Mar 11, 2018
Sunday Mar 11, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, March 11, 2018, is based on Hebrews 13:10-16
Today's Focus: Jesus our Great High Priest Serves at a Great Altar. The altar of sacrifice at the temple in Jerusalem was a sight to behold. At 7 1/2 feet long on each side and 4 1/2 feet high, it would have made for an impressive sight as flames and fragrance lifted high above it. However, it was not at this impressive altar but at another altar-rough and ugly looking, that God won forgiveness for us. On the "altar" of the cross, Jesus was lifted up and gave up his life so that we might have life forever. Rejoice and worship him!

Sermon - March 4, 2018 - Jesus is Our Self-Sacrificing High Priest
Sunday Mar 04, 2018
Sunday Mar 04, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, March 4, 2018, is based on Hebrews 10:5-12
Today's Focus: Jesus is our self-sacrificing High Priest. In the Old Testament, the High Priest would offer a sacrifice, but he was not the sacrifice himself. Not so with Jesus, our Great High Priest. The Bible describes him as "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." Likw an innocent lamb, he gave his life as the sacrifice for our sins on the cross. And by that one sacrifice, we are forever forgiven! Come worship the Lamb of God!

Sermon - February 25, 2018 - Jesus is Who We Preach and Teach
Sunday Feb 25, 2018
Sunday Feb 25, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, February 25, 2018, is based on 1 Corinthians 1:22-25
Today's Focus: We preach Christ crucified. In the season of Lent, we repent of our sins, return to our Savior, and become renewed by the most important message we could ever hear: Jesus was crucified to fully pay for all our sins, and has risen again to give us salvation. The love of Jesus is the focal point of all that we preach and teach. Pastor Michael Otterstatter, Vice President of Mission Advancement at Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota, will share with us this life changing message: Christ crucified and Christ risen...for us!

Sermon - February 18, 2018 - Jesus is Our Compassionate High Priest
Sunday Feb 18, 2018
Sunday Feb 18, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, February 18, 2018, is based on Hebrews 4:14-16
Today's Focus: Jesus is our compassionate High Priest. The high priests of Isreal were human beings, just like the people they served: as sinners, they were able to sympathize with those who sinned. How could someone as great as God's Son possibly relate to sinners? That was a question the first readers of Hebrews would have had on their minds. We will see that although Jesus is perfect in all he does, he also perfectly saves us and sympathizes with us. And because of that, we are seen perfect in Him!

Sermon - February 11, 2018 - Jesus Appears as the Son of God in Glory
Sunday Feb 11, 2018
Sunday Feb 11, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, February 11, 2018, is based on Matthew 17:1-8
Today's Focus: Jesus appears as the Son of God and glory. We come to a "hinge" in our worship focus today. In Epiphany we have seen Jesus reveal himself as the promised Savior. In the next weeks of Lent, we will see this revealed Savior suffer for the sins of the world. But before we ponder this ultimate act of humiliation, we pause this morning to gaze upon Jesus in an ultimate act of glorification. His face is "transfigured" before Peter, James and John as he shows some of the glory that is his as true God. Behold your Beautiful Savior!

Sunday Feb 04, 2018
Sermon - February 4, 2018 - Jesus Appears and Gives You Victory
Sunday Feb 04, 2018
Sunday Feb 04, 2018
The sermon for Sunday, February 4, 2018, is based on Mark 1:21-28
Today's Focus: Jesus appears and gives you victory. Why follow him? Jesus shows his glory by his triumph over the devil. In his own day he sometimes did that openly for many to see. He still does it just as effectively but in a less public, less obvious way. Just as his victory made manifest his glory then, so it does now. Just as then, so now, everything is accomplished through his Word.
